Plot stuff and event polling.
This is your mod speaking-- I had to post with Willow's journal in order to make a poll.
So hey guys! It has occurred to me that I think we could all use a poke along into the plot of the game, here. |D But before doing anything IC, I'd like to get your feedback.
Here's some ideas I've come up with:
One. The Queen is getting frustrated with all of these victims slipping out of her grasp, and sends a slew of shadow monsters into the living areas to try to take them back. Some of them could be successful, and the characters captured would be in the stone sarcophagi again for a while; ultimately they would be rebuffed without too much difficulty, because the spring water is caustic to them. The Queen herself would make an appearance here, but would probably not speak to anyone in any language they could understand. It would give the characters a villain to focus on, however.
Two. It seems like no one wants to take the first plunge and post an exploring log, so I thought I might get the ball rolling! We could have sign ups for randomized groups as an optional opt-in, and then there would be a game-wide exploring log. Volunteers would be taken to write in the obstacles and shadows for other people's threads, and if worse came to worst I'd do a fair amount of this myself.
Three. Something more cracky. I personally am a fan of crack shenanigans, however the game premise is not written as suggesting this would be frequent here, so I don't want to do anything along these lines without player input. A potential idea would be a Valentine's Day event wherein pre-plotted couples suddenly fall in love. I've done this before in a different game, and it was always one of my favorite things to do!
