Mod applications and stepping down.
This will probably come as a surprise to everyone because I haven't mentioned anything to do with this before, but I need to hand the game off to someone else, and as such will be taking mod applications in screened comments on this post.
When I made Castle, it was in the middle of winter break, and I had immensely more free time. I did not anticipate exactly how much school work I'd have this semester, but suffice to say, I am buried in a mountain and cannot give this game the time it deserves as a mod. My initial intention was for it to be cooperatively plotted with the players in order to lessen my time commitment, but I've come to realize that in practice it simply doesn't work that way. The plot will need direct mod attention on a very regular, active basis, and while I can keep up with apps and FAQ questions and the like just fine, plotting is hard work for me and not something I can spare the brain power for amid school.
In short! The game needs someone that can devote a lot of love and time into events to make it flourish, and that can't be me. I thought it was better to do this now, and preempt any absenteeism on my part by refusing to accept the truth. This also means that Casey will step down with me, so that whoever we hand it over to will have a clean break and can do as they like with it.
This subsequently means that apps will be on hold until a new mod is found and established, hopefully not in the order of longer than a week.
I want to reassure everyone that I will be as careful and deliberate as I can be in who I hand it over to, and in light of that, if you're interested in being that person, please reply here with your reasoning why. There is no strict application to fill out; just go for it.
Thank you all for coming along with me on this ride so far and for being such lovely, understanding, wank-allergic people. ♥ I will be dropping Willow as well, and apologize for all of my dropped threads and neglected CR. You guys have been so great. ;;;;
